Artificial Intelligence + Blockchain
Introduction
AI increases the individual productivity several fold. As a consequence, many jobs will be destroyed. Especially in large organizations which are the most capable of investing in automation and robotisation. The mass production of standardized goods and services will stop to be the major jobs provider it is today.
However a growing share of the production will move to small, flexible, and highly productive units. A few individuals will be enough to create a product/service, and market it. 3D printing will allow creating objects, with the more complex parts being outsourced to flexible middle size production units.
The production will be less standardised, adapting to niches or individual preferences.
Each small production unit will engage in ad-hoc collaboration with other small units to lower cost and time to market.
The more I am becoming familiar with blockchain and AI, the more I understand the disruptions they will bring in the near future. My vision stems from this understanding.
My Vision
The new AI driven economy, centered around small, creative, flexible and highly productive units, requires:
Building relationships is central to this model of production
- Faster sourcing and evaluation of providers and partners,
- Quick, easy and transparent contracting.
The main asset of the small production units is their idea, they need to share with potential partners or investors to solve the production problems.
- Fast, light and strong proof of ownership and precedence of ideas, systems, and concepts and solutions .
The small and agile production units need frequent small investments or financing as they adapt their business model and products to market changes. The current institutions are good at providing larger investment and financing entrepreneurs on a longer timeframe.
- Need for smaller investments, raised quickly.
- Fast financing cashflow in smaller but repeated amounts, financier's light and fast decision making process
- Fast and light application and decision process for R&D grants.
This vision is inspiring my experimental program. Each prototype is (or will be) designed to explore the future, into what an AI driven economy will look like. As they become available they will be published in the "The lab" page.
